Today I am in Florida for the first time in my life, well, not counting the Miami Airport, which is a universe unto itself. I am on the east coast and I can now state that I have seen the Atlantic Ocean from every state on the Eastern Seaboard of the Untied States.
So what am I thankful for?
1. Not surprisingly, fresh seafood; fish and shrimp that have come in right off the boats. Being landlocked now, I miss having truly fresh fish. Tuesday night I had wonderful shrimp and Mahi at my friend Marjorie's, along with great conversation. Yesterday I drove south, picked up a friend at the airport, and found a local spot with a lively crowd, live music, and more great fish. Although I am in town for a workshop, I am also going to enjoy the seafood.
2. Seeing the ocean. Always.

Fabulous almond butter is hardly prosaic — you’re making me think about mustering some gratitude this rather dreary morning. Sadly, I think the best I can do is be glad the weekend is so near. . . and be happy that you’re happy! 😉
