I've been looking for a large, roughly 12", deep, sauté pan and have not been happy with what I have seen. Until now that is. I recently discovered Iittala's line of cookware named tools and I covet them all, especially, this large 30 cm saute pan.
Suddenly I am thinking that even things that are used everyday should be beautiful and make my heart sing each time I use them. But is it as perfectly functional as it is beautiful? It must be more than just a pretty pan to hold its own in my kitchen and in my heart.

Mardel, I was surprised to read Iittala in your post! Iittala is a reliable brand. I don´t think that you would be disappointed. Iittala has used international designers too, like my favorite Antonio Citterio, for the ” Tools” flatware.
I have also been updating my pots and pans. Iittala is ok, but I ended up with Alessi.
I totally agree that the objects in our lives should bring us joy. No object is too small to consider its emotional object on us.xoxo
Really good pots and pans are one of life’s most enduring pleasures. Ours FWIW are All Clad master Chef and we plan to leave them to our sons.
