Now it is time to celebrate the simple pleasures of spring.
Spring bulbs always brighten the spirits after a long dreary winter. Especially as they brave the snows and keep their pretty heads up even as winter refuses to fade away, quietly oblivious to the storms of nature and human emotion.
A field of Iris histrioides Katherine Hodgkin makes my heart sing every single day and is a fabulous pay-out for the hours spent planting hundreds of bulbs. Would that all effort yielded such glorious results.

The bulbs are beautiful.
Oh yes. Spring, season of renewal- who can not be affected by this waking? Tender, beautiful shots, thank you!
