More Flower Photos

There has been much hustle and bustle around here and little time for reflection or even knitting.  But there is always time to stop and admire the flowers.  These are large zinc boxes in front of the garage.

I tend to think the whole space is a little too messy, but I haven't found quite the right planters for the look I want. Although I was initially unsure about the plantings, they are filling out nicely and I have come to appreciate them a little more.

These two small planters at the north corner of my garage were just finished Monday.  But they are already starting to pick up a bit.

They look gorgeous! Love the planters and the orchestration of all the different flowers.

Thank you Pseu, Mater, and Susan for the compliments on the flowers.  I think when I was younger I underestimated the joys of planter-gardening, and now I just love doing them.  Which is good because I can leave the woods as the woods and enjoy the more intimate setting near the house.

Just beautiful, Mardel…love your mix of color and texture.
Tomorrow, I’m changing out our planters…the Spring pansies are looking a little bedraggled from the heat. I’ll put small houseplants in the porch containers…and multicolored Coleus in the garage window box, along with a sweet potato vine. I thought this would be the last of it…but the little greenhouse down the road is closing for the season and they’re having a half-price sale. So…of course…I have to go…
