What is this?
Knitting? Is it finished?
What is it? A shawl with armholes?
Ah yes, a vest.
The pattern is Weekend Wrap by Julie Weisenberger.
I knit it using 1 strand each of Ritratto by Stacy Charles and Kid Seta by Trendsetter. The yarn was purchased in Boulder in June, with plans to knit something else entirely. Then I saw this pattern and knew exactly how I wanted to make it. Voila. Love. I'm sure the remaining Ritratto and Kid Seta will become part of something else equally fabulous. In the meantime, I am eagerly awaiting weather cool enough to actually wear my new vest.
In fact, now I want to knit the same pattern in something less fuzzy, like a crunchy habu silk or perhaps linen.

Oh, stunning! Ritratto is one of my favorite yarns, and this blue is particularly refreshing.
What a fun piece! Lovin that color. I’m trying to finish a shell that I started months ago, ripped out twice and now am almost up to the armholes (it’s bottom up). Maybe soon…………..
Fabulous! And I’d love to see it in the Habu silk — or one of their yarns with the metal (steel?) core/filament, the “bendy”-ish ones? Have you knit with those?
Since you’ve practiced it seems like you could spin a silk or linen one out in no time. It’s be nice for a fall transition, which we all hope will come along soon!
Fabulous, really nice! I like the yarns
